Dental Insurance

We accept Medicare, Tricare, and most other forms of insurance in Fayetteville, NC.

Carolina Comfort Dental is a Fayetteville dental practice where most major dental insurance plans are accepted. We welcome patients who are covered under:

Our friendly and knowledgeable dental support professionals are happy to file insurance claims on your behalf and can work with you to make sure that you receive maximum insurance benefits. As a Tricare dentist, we work to make sure all of our patients receive the best care at an affordable price.

Aetna Dental Insurance

Maximizing your Aetna dental insurance coverage is one of the ways we help to keep the cost of your care as affordable as possible.

We work directly with Aetna to determine your specific plan benefits, which allows you to utilize the coverage in a way that benefits your budget. For instance, most Aetna members receive a fully covered dental cleaning every six months. These frequent visits help us prevent gum disease and catch concerns like tooth decay before they spiral out of control. Don’t put your care off until something hurts!

Cigna Dental Insurance

Our patients who carry Cigna dental insurance enjoy a breakdown of their estimated coverage amounts before any type of dental treatment is rendered. It’s just another way we help your family dental care remain as affordable as possible.

Most policies include a complete exam, cleaning, and x-rays twice each year. Visiting Carolina Comfort Dental every six months can help you keep your smile healthy and limit the amount of dental treatment that you need later on.

Our patient coordinators will call Cigna to verify all of your benefits in order for us to provide you with an itemized treatment plan. Your plan will include treatments needed, your estimated Cigna insurance coverage amounts, and any differences leftover. This way, there are no surprises when it comes to enjoying a healthier, stronger smile.

Delta Dental PPO

Delta Dental PPO is an extremely popular dental insurance, especially with our military retirees. Most Delta Dental plans cover preventive care visits twice a year, and a large portion of restorative dentistry for our patients that need to repair their smiles.

After you retire from the military, you should know that your dental insurance plan will typically become a Delta Dental plan. You will get the same great dental care from us that you always have. Carolina Comfort Dental is happy to assist you in breaking down your Delta Dental PPO and military retiree insurance plans.

The billing and scheduling gals are amazing. My daughter no longer cries when we come to the dentist because their dental assistants are so great with her and always have been! Super wonderful staff all around!

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers!
We know you may have lots of questions when it comes to you and your family's dental needs. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call today!
  • Do you see children?
Yes! We provide dental care for your entire family. It is our goal to see children as young as possible to get them started on a healthy dental care regime. While each child is different, we can typically begin simple cleanings and exams at age three or four. If we are unable to meet their needs, we will refer you to a caring pediatric dentist in the area.
  • How often do I need to visit the dentist if I brush daily?
First of all, congrats on taking care of your teeth! Dr. Tan Binh Nguyen recommends that you brush and floss twice a day to help maintain your dental health.

Even for those of us who do our very best with at-home care, we need to be seen for regular checkups and cleanings to remove plaque that we can’t get to with floss or a toothbrush, and to make sure that any issues are caught early so that they are easily treatable.

Making an appointment to see us every 6 months can ensure that you are doing the very best to take care of your teeth and your smile. When you visit us for regular dental checkups and cleanings, we can help make sure your dental health is at its very best, or use preventive measures to help keep it that way.

  • If my filling falls out, what can I do?
Fillings can certainly be victim to natural wear and tear, including eating, drinking, and chewing. They rarely, if ever, should fall out, but it can happen. If your filling falls out, the first thing you should do is clean the tooth gently with warm water, toothpaste, and your toothbrush. Your tooth will be sensitive, so please be gentle when cleaning!

Next, if you were able to find the piece of filling that fell out, make sure to put it in a safe place. Then, call us to let us know and we will get you in as soon as we can. We ask that you bring the filling with you if you were able to salvage it.

In the meantime, please take caution when eating and chewing. Try to only chew on the side of the mouth opposite of where you lost your filling, and avoid chewy or hot and cold foods, because your tooth will be sensitive.

  • I am in pain with a toothache; when can I see the doctor?
We realize that dental pain follows no schedule. We are committed to treating all patients with a toothache in a prompt and caring manner. We can often accommodate dental emergencies with same-day appointments and treatments.
  • Does Carolina Comfort accept my insurance?
Yes. We are in-network with most major insurance plans, including Tricare’s United Concordia. We accept all major insurance plans.

We have insurance experts on staff that will explain which benefits your coverage provides. We participate in these plans to help our patients achieve excellent dental health in the most economical way possible.
